Mark your calendars this weekend because on May 12th, legendary SFX makeup artist Todd Tucker takes a seat in THE RED BOOTH to go one on one with hostess Kimberly Q. THE RED BOOTH is a nationally broadcast talk show that airs every Saturday night on Youtoo America, and can also be streamed on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.
Todd Tucker has provided his talents for multiple major motion pictures. His first big break came in 1991 as a key artist on Steven Speilberg’s HOOK, and his skillset only grew from there. Tucker was part of the makeup effects team responsible for two consecutive Oscar wins for BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA in 1993 and MRS. DOUBTFIRE in 1994. Since then, Tucker’s worked on blockbusters like BLADE, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, APOCALYPTO, WATCHMEN, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, and so much more.
Tucker’s work in the makeup effects industry continues today as the president of Illusion Industries, a Los Angeles based SFX firm that has given their services to create the practical makeup effects in: GI JOE RETALIATION, THE SMURFS 2, THE ICEMAN, and a host of others. Todd even created his own SFX leaden movie as the director on THE TERROR OF HALLOW’S EVE, which has taken film festivals by storm.
